Clarence earned his ARiMI-CERM™ designation in 2023 while in the role of Assistant Manager in the Corporate Strategy Planning Department at National University Polyclinics.

Armed with a deeper appreciation for how Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) integrates with strategic decision-making, he took a significant step forward in his career. Shortly after completing the program, Clarence secured his current role at HSA, a testament to the value of advanced ERM knowledge in a competitive job market.

By involving these change agents, Clarence has cultivated a robust risk-aware culture across the organization. Regular workgroup meetings educate representatives on the importance of proactive risk management, empowering them to embed these principles within their teams.

“This initiative not only enhances accountability but also promotes a consistent application of risk management practices across the organization,” Clarence explains. “Working closely with various stakeholders has given me valuable insights into the challenges they face, which helps refine our approaches to risk and business continuity.”

Clarence’s current focus is on enhancing HSA’s existing ERM framework by introducing best practices from other industries. His efforts reflect HSA’s commitment to operational excellence and innovation as a statutory board under the Ministry of Health. “HSA has been instrumental in my professional journey, providing the necessary support and resources for initiatives like the Risk Management Workgroup. Their encouragement underscores the organization’s dedication to cultivating a strong risk-aware culture,” Clarence notes.
